Sandra Brown has found her calling in the wilds of rural historic Texas - first with the wagon train in Sunset Embrace, and then with its dusty, lusty sequel Another Dawn. It's been twenty years since Lydia and Ross Coleman settled in Texas, and their lovely young daughter Banner is about to be married. Except the ceremony goes drastically wrong, leaving her heartbroken, and her would-be husband married to another woman.
Sandra Brown seems to churn out short contemporary romances like crazy, but they pale in comparison to to the cowboy settings that these stories occur in. The New York Daily News said that this story was so hot it would leave a mark on your coffee table, and we have to second that. Never before have we read a historical romance from the wild west that was so steamy, and yet was brimming with a myriad of complex characters, strumming plot tension and fantastic historical detail.
