In the meantime, look for the Lear Family books in bookstores this year. The series is about a very powerful, self-made man, his estranged wife, and their three daughters. When Aaron Lear learns he has an aggressive form of cancer, he sees his life in a new perspective, which extends to his daughters. He realizes that their life of privilege has spoiled them to the point that they are accustomed to having everything done for them. His one desire is that they learn to appreciate the important things in life and to stand on their own feet before he dies.
